What Is The Difference Between Marketing And Sales?

Hello,

Many people believe that Marketing and Sales are the same thing, but that is incorrect.

Marketing is what you do to get a prospect to your sales page, motivated and ready to consider the offer.  Sales are what closes the person once they get to the sales page.

The same thing for more face to face or network marketing leads, marketing is what educates and motivates the person to want to speak with you.  Sales are what you do when you are talking with them to turn them into customers.

The message that you send to the prospects is different if you are marketing versus selling.

Use email marketing or safelists as an example.  Sending emails to cold traffic is marketing.  You do not want to sell the product in the emails.  You want to get the person interested enough to click the link.  The sales page is supposed to do the selling.

If you try to sell in the emails, then you will scare away most of the prospects.  They are not ready for the "pitch" yet.  Just get them warmed up and send them over to the sales page link.

Thanks for reading my post.
